(Module 8) Writing Assignment -Due March 9

Due March 9 by 11:59 PM – You may select one of the following writing assignments for Chapter 8:

Option 1: Write a 550-1000 word Review using the techniques and expectations we’ve engaged so far this semester (and within this chapter) and the 600-words guidelines for structure ideas. **Note: By this point, you know what I expect within a written review. If you don’t please ask. 

The final written review should be posted to your film journal blog (and linked below), or emailed to me in a word doc, Google doc. or PDF (extra credit may be applied for using all the blog post tools we’ve used previously – links, tags, photos). 

Your film review should come from any of the 100 Critically Acclaimed Foreign Language films, the Indie Film Choices  or  The Hux short film . 

*Note: This should be a film you haven’t already reviewed for this class.

Option 2: In 400-600 words explore a filmmaker you got their start in independent film and transitioned to mainstream box office appeal. This should include research and subjective and objective examination. You should offer some bio info as well as examples of the transformation (or combination) of indie vs. mainstream success. Remember to identify your sources.

Option 3:  In 400-600 words explore a filmmaker who got their start beyond the United States (internationally) and transitioned to mainstream U.S. box office appeal. This should include research and subjective and objective examination. You should offer some bio info as well as examples of the transformation (or combination) of international vs. domestic success. Remember to identify your sources.
